SUSSEX: County Republicans back Pettyjohn

GEORGETOWN - The Sussex County Republican Committee is throwing its support behind Brian Pettyjohn, a write-in candidate for the state's 19th Senate District, after the party's nominee, Eric Bodenweiser, decided last week to suspend his campaign.

Duke Brooks, spokesman for the Sussex County Republican Committee, announced on the WXDE 195.9 radio station this afternoon that the committee had conducted a poll of its more than 90 members and found overwhelming support for switching its support to Pettyjohn's write-in candidacy.
