SU baseball gets late win

The No. 1-ranked Salisbury University baseball team needed a ninth-inning single by Nick Gentry to score Bill Root to earn a 4-3 win Wednesday over Apprentice School.

The Gulls trailed 3-2 after four innings and scored a run each in the seventh and ninth innings to earn the win.

Kyle Hamby pitched three-and-two-third innings, allowing no runs on no hits and striking out six for the win. ...
