MUSIC: Firefly Festival boosts lineup with big-name acts

DOVER - The Firefly Music Festival anounced a robust lineup of performers on Tuesday, one that organizers and local music fans hope will propel the three-day Dover event toward becoming one of the top music destinations in the country.

The stable of acts will include veteran headliners, like Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, as well as rising stars like The Lumineers and Alabama Shakes.

With 71 acts planned as opposed to last year's 48, the depth and breadth of talent brings Firefly closer to its stated goal to be "the East Coast's premier music experience." And as ...
