William Rounds: Universal background checks are a bad idea

I watched the Judiciary Committee's hearing on Jan. 30 on Senate Bill 150 and was disappointed.

One example of my disappointment was the committee's treatment of the "gun show loophole" or "universal background check." Listening to the hearings, most people would be for this as it appears to require little change, yet, would discourage criminals form acquiring guns.
