Outdoor MLK Day program is Monday

BERLIN - Outdoor Afro MLK Day at Assateague Island National Seashore will be held Monday from 9 am.-3 p.m.

The event will begin at the Environmental Education Center where participants will grab a hot beverage and head to the island. A park ranger, a natural leader for the Children and Nature Network, along with Coastal Stewards and other local experts, will lead a beach to bay hike highlighting the nature of Assateague and its important connection to African American history. ...
