Gulls open tourney with loss

The Salisbury University men's basketball team started the 2013 year at the Sponaugle New Year Tournament, losing to Eastern Connecticut State 75-55 Wednesday night.

The Gulls trailed 40-26 at halftime and were outscored 35-29 in the second half.
