Konkel awarded for 'once-in-a-lifetime' deer

On an early November morning last year, John Konkel of Exmore discovered a local legend while hunting.

Around 8 a.m., he saw "The Quinby Buck," a 215-pound, whitetail named after the town where it once roamed. Since 2009, avid hunters in the area have been chasing the large buck.
