As spring nears, communities turn to races

The warmer temperatures mark the beginning of tourism in the coastal communities, but it also signals the start of the 5K season.

After playing host to three 5K races in January and February, Sussex County will have five in March alone. Ocean City's 3rd annual St. Patrick's Day 5K will also take place this month, and the resort town has two more races - the half-marathon and a Race for the Cure 5K - scheduled for April.
