The Frequency: Original music acts on the bill this winter

While cover bands rule the roost at the beach every summer, winter is when the original acts come out of hiding. Hard-rockin' Baltimore act Bride Dressed In Black will return to the area to play a CD release party at the Oasis Bar & Grill in Whaleyville at 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18. The band's disc, "Battle the Beast," features uptempo music with a few subtle Christian themes in the lyrics. Admission is $5. If you can't make it, the band will also rock a double bill with Silvertung at Bubba's in Dover on Friday, Jan. 25.
