Dennig left her mark on Terps hockey

Kirstie Dennig, who was a standout at Pocomoke High School, won two Atlantic Coast Conference titles, went to four Final Fours and won two NCAA titles at Maryland.
Kirstie Dennig, who was a standout at Pocomoke High School, won two Atlantic Coast Conference titles, went to four Final Fours and won two NCAA titles at Maryland.

"Kirstie Dennig's legacy will be her absolute commitment to being the best she can be," said Missy Meharg, University of Maryland's head field hockey coach. "She is Maryland hockey."

Dennig, a Pocomoke High School graduate and now a senior at Maryland, has recently concluded her fourth season of Division I field hockey play after making four consecutive advancements to the Final Four, and having won two ACC titles and two NCAA titles.

For friends and family of Dennig, her consistent success on and off the field comes as no surprise. ...
