It seems there are few medical tests that are particularity fun to undergo, but several that make people smile and laugh just by mentioning the procedure.
For men, it has to be dealing with a prostrate exam, and for women, a mammogram is an awkward test. Yet nothing seems to make people easily laugh as the mention of the association of stirrups and female exams. I have to admit, as a guy, I don't usually associate stirrups with doctors. Gosh, I suspect it's hard to be discreet, shy and ladylike waiting for the doctor in that get up and in that position. Yee-haw and all.
